The Beatles Please Please Me Vinyl Record MONO 1st Press Dick James Credit.

This is a true 1st press printed on the 22nd of March 1963. It is in very good condition, especially considering this record is over 60 years old! Below is a thorough description of the condition of the record including details that explain why it\'s a 1st press.

Outer sleeve:

The outer sleeve is in great condition with no rips or tears or tape. There is some wear to the corners and to the bottom lip at the back of the cover however this is not severe.

I have done my very best to show the true condition of the outer sleeve and the record itself in the photos.

The first pressing covers are Ernest J.Day & Co. front laminated covers. The \"Ernest J.Day & Co.\" print can be found on the back of the cover on the bottom right.

The photo credit for the front cover: “Photo Angus McBean” is printed in the lower right corner. The text starts at the end of “s” in “songs”. This is only found on the outer sleeves of 1st presses. On later presses, the text starts at the end of the letter \"g\" in \"songs\".

Inner sleeve:

Original Emitex inner sleeve. In fantastic condition with no rips or tears.

Record:

The record itself sounds great with no skips or sticks. There is some crackling and pops that can be heard between tracks (It is 60 years old) however these are not too disruptive.

First and second presses have a black label with gold print and “Parlophone Co. Ltd” printed at the start perimeter print.

In first presses like this one, the incorrect credit for “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Misery”, “Do You Want To Know A Secret” & “There’s A Place” is present on the centre sticker. Here it reads \"Dick James\". Shortly after its release this credit was changed to \"Northern Soul\" and the Dick James credit is only found on early 1st presses.
