This 1982 (vinyl) release was as fiery as the cover art and generated some controversy, with it's wink at Marijuana growers hiding their wares in sugar cane fields. Like the "Tropical Storm" album, this was a mix of genres, featuring Reggae, Rock, Slack Key, and Boogie Woogie. From the opening song about a vain woman, compared to a Peacock in "Ha'aheo E Ka Manu Pikake" to the tribute to singer-Hawaiian activist George Helm in "Hawaiian Soul," Love in it's many forms predominates. For Slack Key aficionados, "Pandanus" and "Hanohano Hanalei/Ka Ua Loku" may set your fingers on fire. For lovers, "On A Street In Singapore" sets the scene, "Guava Jelly" puts you in the mood, and "Cheri" and "Far Too Wide For Me" speak of the one left behind. Like it's predecessor, this release picked up a Hoku award from HARA. This release finally arrived in digital form in 1992..
