This CD debuts 24 Peggy Lee classic as well as hard to find songsfor the first time in STEREO. Peggy recorded them in the days of 1-channel monaural. Now, new audio technology called “DES” (Digitally Extracted Stereo) makes it possible for engineers to take a mono master and separate the instruments and vocals into individual tracks that can then be mixed into authentic-sounding stereo with true channel separation like a modern, multi-track recording.

It’s a laborious and time-consuming process—akin perhaps to restoring an old master canvas that has been painted over. But you hear much more detail in the original music, and Peggy really comes alive!

The EU label that released this CD has also done new \"mono to stereo mixes\" onElvis(about 100 songs in the Elvis Reborn series),Frank Sinatra,Ella Fitzgerald,Nat King Cole,Connie Francis,Johnny Mathis,Tony Bennett,Patsy Clineand more!(These are also available on ).
