Morrison Hotel is The Doors getting back to the dirt — bluesier, heavier and meaner than the records that came before it.

Roadhouse Blues, Peace Frog, Waiting for the Sun, Ship of Fools, The Spy — this is the band sounding loose, dangerous and completely locked in. Jim Morrison is in full swagger mode, Robby Krieger is all over the place, and the whole album has that smoky, late-night feel that makes it one of the coolest records in the catalog.

This is an original 1970 U.S. Elektra pressing, catalog EKS-75007, with the classic red Elektra label and AL / Allentown pressing identifiers in the deadwax. The jacket also carries the original-era 1855 Broadway, New York Elektra address.

The gatefold is a real highlight on this copy — no seam splits, a clean spine, very little edge wear, and strong overall presentation for a 1970 original. The vinyl is VG+, and the jacket presents exceptionally well for its age.

This is the kind of copy that still looks and feels like a proper vintage Doors record instead of something that survived a bar fight in 1972. 😂
