GRADING GUIDELINES

We usethe following guidelines to grade the conditions of records (vinyls, shellac)we offer for sale.

MINT (M)

The recordhas no obvious signs of wear and which will playperfectly, with no imperfections during playback. The sleeve has no more thanminor defects (signs of slight handling) but has no creases, folds, seamsplits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same applies toinner sleeves and inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc.

VERY GOODPLUS (VG+)

The record shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled bya previous owner who took good care of it. Defects are cosmetic and notaffecting playback. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may haveslight scuffs or light scratches that do not affect listening experiences. Thelabel may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barelynoticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Inner sleeves will have some slightwear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split and slightly/moderatelytoned. The sleeve has slight signs of wear (scuffs/creases/bumped & rubbedcorners/edges), and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cutcorner.

VERY GOOD(VG)

Defects found in a VG+ are more pronounced. Surface noise is evidentupon playing but does not overpower the music. Groove wear is noticeable, aswith light scratches that are deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Labels maybe marred by inscription or have stickers (or their residue) attached. The sameis true of sleeves, inner sleeves, and inserts.

Good (G)

Record in Good condition can be played through without skipping. But itwill have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. The sleevehas seam splits (at the top, bottom or on the spine), stickers (or residues), inscriptions,ring wear, or other defects. While the record is playable without skipping,surface noise and \"ticks\" are noticeable during playback.

FAIR(F)

The record has noticeable spindle wear, scratches, is warped, and skipsduring playback. The sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams andheavily marred by wear and writing. Inner sleeves are fully split and crinkled.
