Original AFRTS transcription LP RL‑39‑2, pairing Jake Holmes’ “How Much Time” with Billy Joel’s “Cold Spring Harbor.” Produced exclusively for U.S. service members and distributed to bases and broadcast facilities worldwide, AFRTS discs were never sold commercially. This pairing is especially desirable due to the early Billy Joel material, including “She’s Got a Way,” “Everybody Loves You Now,” and the instrumental “Nocturne.” Jake Holmes’ side delivers introspective singer‑songwriter material with clean production and strong vocal presence. A highly collectible AFRTS issue with excellent playback.

VG+ record / VG sleeve. Both sides retain strong, reflective gloss with light hairlines, minor dot scuffs, and minimal perimeter sleeve scuffing. Playback is exceptionally clean for AFRTS, with surface noise lower than typical and nearly nonexistent on Side 2. No pops, crackles, skips, or tracking issues were detected. Labels show minor discoloration and small areas of print loss at the perimeter. The sleeve is VG with a 1/2\" tear at the opening and a 3/8\" tear at the center hole, along with minor wrinkles and light ring wear; no seam splits. Playback may vary depending on equipment; sold as‑is.
