It is a Club Nintendo reward — a members-only promotional CD from the European Club Nintendo scheme, and the back of the case is printed NOT FOR SALE. The only way to get one was to register Nintendo products and spend your stars. Club Nintendo closed in 2015, so no more were ever made.What it is

The official soundtrack to Animal Crossing: Let\'s Go to the City (Wii), released on CD in 2009 as part of the Nintendo Soundtrack Series. Sound direction by Kazumi Totaka — the man behind K.K. Slider, and the Totaka\'s Song easter egg — with music by Manaka Tominaga and Shiho Fujii. K.K. Slider himself is on the cover with his guitar.

If you know the series, you know why these hold their value: the Animal Crossing soundtrack is the reason a lot of people still have the game installed.

Condition, honestly

Packaging: genuinely lovely. The artwork is bright with no fading, no creasing, no writing and no price stickers anywhere. The jewel case is intact with working hinges and only the light surface scuffing you would expect from a disc that has lived on a shelf.

Disc: the printed label side is clean and unmarked, as shown. The play side is face down in the case and is not in the photographs, so I am not going to make claims about it — please treat the disc as unchecked. I have not been able to play it.

About the photographs: every photograph is of the actual copy you will receive. The first image is the same photograph on a plain studio background so the cover reads clearly in search results; nothing has been retouched.A note on the NOT FOR SALE marking

Promotional and members-only items like this are bought and sold second hand all the time — the marking was Nintendo telling retailers not to stock it, not a restriction on you owning or reselling your own copy.
