VG+/VG. Promotional Copy (1978). "Warmer Communications," is the seventh studio album by the Scottish funk and soul group Average White Band (AWB), released in March 1978. The title itself is a playful inside joke poking fun at Warner Communications, which was the parent company of Atlantic Records, the band's record label at the time. The album reached #28 on the US Billboard 200 and climbed to #12 on the Soul Albums chart. It was the band's last album to be certified gold in the United States. It features the single "Your Love Is a Miracle," which peaked at #33 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart. The LP was produced by the legendary Atlantic Records producer Arif Mardin, who helped shape the band's signature polished sound. Musically, the album captured AWB shifting away from raw, heavy funk toward a smoother, tighter, and slightly disco-leaning mellow groove. Critics and fans widely regard Warmer Communications as the band's last truly great album from their classic 1970s era, praised for its consistency from start to finish.Tracklist
