​Item Description

​Up for sale is an extraordinarily rare, virtually undocumented piece of mid-90s underground alternative rock history. This is the self-titled 7-track CD EP by False Front, released by the boutique Eastern Pennsylvania punk label Arson Records in late 1994.

For serious collectors of the New Hope, PA / Lambertville, NJ music scene, this disc is a holy grail find. False Front operated out of the infamous Brookridge Farm farmhouse—the exact location where members of Ween lived and where major components of Pure Guava and Chocolate and Cheese were created.

​The Lineup: Features vocalist Guy Heller and guitarist Bill Fowler. Shortly after False Front disbanded Guy Heller teamed up with Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween) to form the legendary rock project Moistboyz.

​The Recording: This exact 7-song session was recorded on ADAT tape at Brookridge Farm in August 1994 by Dean Ween himself. While music lore long considered this final demo to be completely unreleased after being shopped around, this physical CD proves that Arson Records pressed an incredibly small, ultra-limited promotional or archival run of the project.
