This is the historic, first-ever pressing of \"The Bridge\"—the undisputed, iconic Queensbridge anthem that sparked the legendary \"Bridge Wars\" battle between the Juice Crew and KRS-One\'s Boogie Down Productions. Masterfully produced and mixed by hip-hop icon Marley Marl, this track features one of the most sampled drum beats and basslines in the entire history of urban music. The A-side features the fierce LL Cool J diss track \"Beat Biter\".

True independent 1st pressings on Bridge Records (issued with a Philly/NJ contact number [phone removed by ] on the label) are incredibly scarce, especially in clean, DJ-ready condition.

This beautiful copy comes housed in its original black die-cut sleeve, beautifully preserved under its original factory shrink wrap (opened). The shrink wrap features an authentic vintage yellow retail price tag ($2.99) from the historic Sound of Market record store in Philadelphia. An absolute holy grail centerpiece for any serious Golden Era hip-hop vinyl archivist.
