Lovely copy of the rare Omm Kolthoum (also spelled Oum Kolsoum, Om Kalthoum, Umm Kulthoum… and many other ways) LP: Inta Omry, or You Are Life to Me, with Mohammad Abdel-Wahab, on Arab Tunes Records ST-501. This is one of the Music and Melodies of the Arab World albums, this one focusing on Egypt. Oum Koulthoum was probably the most famous singer in Egypt, and she made a lot of beautiful records, this one being considered a classic among them, and a very nice copy here. The disc has a few light superficial scuffs but it plays very nearly flawlessly and just beautifully. Maybe a tiny bit of very faint background crackle in a couple pf spots but barely at all. Really a beautiful playing copy. The cover has some bad edgewear at the top of the right edge, and a seam split over halfway across the top (see photo), but is otherwise quite clean and crisp and lovely. A very rare copy, and a beautiful sounding one. Hard to beat.
