It was released in mid-1986, the album is characterized by a sound that incorporated influences from new wave and post-punk (which marked a departure from their previous album, Gulp!), and by its narrative with dystopian elements, inspired by historical social revolutions and the international military context of the Cold War, as well as Argentina\'s political landscape during the period of its return to democracy.The cover art, designed by artist Rocambole, is inspired by the 1917 Russian Revolution.In 2007, the Argentine version of Rolling Stone magazine ranked Oktubre number 4 on its list of The 100 Best Argentine Rock Albums ever.
